At Rustic n Cool Designs, every carved wood sign, wall decor piece, and handcrafted accent is created with individual care. Because our pieces are solid wood, substantial in weight, and vary significantly in shape and dimension, we have designed our shipping policy to be as transparent, reliable, and straightforward as possible.

Transparent, All-Inclusive Pricing (Free Standard Shipping)

We believe you should never face unexpected surprises or confusing rate calculations at checkout.

Standard shipping rate calculators often struggle with the unique realities of artisan woodcraft—especially non-standard box dimensions and the fact that solid wood signs must be packaged individually to arrive safely. To eliminate checkout inefficiencies and hidden carrier surcharges, all standard shipping costs are built directly into our product pricing.

What you see on the product page is your price—no surprise shipping fees added at the end.

Delivery Carrier & Transit Times

All domestic orders ship via USPS Ground Advantage (with tracking and basic carrier insurance included).

  • Standard Transit Window: We quote a default transit window of 5–8 business days once your order leaves our workshop.

  • Typical Delivery: In most cases, USPS delivers faster than this window depending on your proximity to our workshop. We intentionally provide a realistic delivery window so you are never left guessing.

  • Tracking Your Package: As soon as your piece is packed and your shipping label is printed, you will receive an automated email containing your USPS tracking number.

The Reality of Large & Statement Pieces

If you are eyeing one of our larger carved signs or wide mantel displays, you will notice a higher investment reflected in the price.

Carriers calculate postage based on dimensional weight (box volume) and assess significant surcharges on parcels measuring over 22 and 30 inches in length. A 3-foot or 4-foot solid wood sign requires heavy-duty outer boxing, corner reinforcement, and protective padding, placing it into specialized carrier tiers.

While these larger, statement-sized signs carry a higher total price, packaging them properly and absorbing the dimensional freight costs means you are receiving a significantly discounted, highly economical shipping value compared to paying published carrier rates at checkout.

Individual Packaging & Multi-Item Orders

To protect delicate carvings, custom finishes, and structural edges from transit friction, every sign is boxed and padded individually.

If you order multiple items in a single transaction, your order may arrive in multiple cartons with separate USPS tracking numbers. We never cut corners by forcing distinct carved pieces into a single overcrowded box.

Shipping Checklist for Placing Your Order

  1. Verify Your Address: Double-check your delivery address at checkout (USPS delivers to physical addresses and PO Boxes).

  2. Watch for Tracking: Check your inbox for your USPS tracking confirmation email once fulfillment begins.

  3. Inspect Upon Delivery: Solid wood can experience temperature variations in transit. Please unbox your sign promptly upon delivery and let us know within 48 hours if any carrier transit damage occurred so we can make it right.
